Recipes, surveys, emails, baking, freezing. All these words swirling around in our minds. This week was the week of finalizing details, finishing touches, and filling in gaps. We all met together and made all the nutritional bars we need for May 8th. They turned out better than we expected! We put the Banana Hurricane Bites into plastic bags. Then we printed out the recipes, folded them, and put them into the bags with the bites to give to the Parkinson’s patients. We ordered stickers to put on the bags as labels. They look professional, and hopefully taste the same way. We also printed out the surveys to give to the Parkinson’s dancers after they taste the bars. We will bring napkins and a tablecloth for the table where we will set up our baggies. Lastly, we got toothpicks for the samples of each bar and paper plates to put the samples onto. Currently, we are finalizing our research showing that the ingredients in these bars and bites are extremely beneficial to people with Parkinson’s. We are also making sure that we have every little detail figured out for the looming date of passing out the bars. Our group plans to get together one last time over the weekend to make sure that nothing gets by us. We are all anticipating the day we get to hand out our homemade bars. We are ready to face our solution head on!!
